We accept all students from the ages of 8-13. You do not need to be currently attending CGS or be affiliated with CGS to attend this Sports Camp.
Any participants not picked up by 5:00pm will be taken to CGS Care and incur an additional cost.

9:10am | Explicit skill instruction. A combination of closed and open drills use to teach Physical Literacy Elements. Participants rotate through stations working on various elements. An example of the elements a camp could include are: • Agility • Movement skills • Reaction time • Tactics • Stability and Balance • Coordination • Strategy and Planning • Cooperation |
11:00am | Playgrounds and classrooms open for self-guided play. |
11:30am | Skill expansion. Taught Physical Literacy elements are applied in a game sense approach. Participants rotate through a rang of games that incorporate movement skills used to move on, in or with a new range of equipment. |
1:00pm | Playgrounds and classrooms open for self-guided play. Special Guest autograph signing. |
1:30pm | Players Choice to specialise in: • Basketball • Netball • Cricket • Touch Football • AFL Example of Specialist skills covered Defensive Skills Spatial awareness Skills Specialist session Attacking Skills Key Drills, open ended games and specific coaching Structured Warm Down |
3:00pm | MVP and Sportsmanship Award ceremony. End of Day. Sign Out. |
CGS Sports Camps are offered for four days during each school holidays.

Yes, all sports are designed to cater for both boys and girls.
Children between 8 to 13 years of age can attend the CGS Sports Camps.
No, not at this stage. Potentially, we could look at offering this in the near future.
Staff will make alternative arrangements using different facilities at Canberra Grammar School.
In rare cases, CGS Sports Camps may need to cancel the 4-day camp and offer a full refund to those already registered.
CGS Sports Camps endeavors to communicate with families early if or when this occurs.
At this stage, CGS Sports Camps does not offer any subsidies for low income families.
Parents/carers will be called to collect their child. All of our staff are first aid trained.
In an emergency, staff will administer first aid as per their training and engage ACT emergency services where needed. Parents/carers will be called, consulted and kept informed.
No catering is currently provided for CGS Sports Camps.
Appropriate clothes, shoes, a hat, as well as food for recess and lunch.
A drink bottle and a wrist band will be given on the first day.
New campers will receive a CGS Sports Camp t-shirt. Returning campers are kindly asked to bring the CGS Sports Camp t-shirt they were given last time.
For those who wish, extra CGS Sports Camp t-shirts are available for purchase on all the first day of camp for $30.
Sunscreen is provided, however, please bring your own if your child has allergies.
Your child may also bring anything specific they need for their chosen sport eg mouth guard.
Yes, as long as the age gap or skill ability is not too great. Please provide your preference on pairing when you register.
No, you must choose one sport for your child to concentrate on for the four-day CGS Sports Camp.
Comfortable sports attire eg shorts or leggings and a shirt, runners, and hat.
New campers will be given a CGS Sports Camps t-shirt on the first day. Returning campers are kindly asked to wear the CGS Sports Camps t-shirt they were supplied at a previous camp.
Extra CGS Sports Camps t-shirts are available for purchase on the first day of camp for $30 cash.
There is one specialist coach for every 12 children.
Yes, as long as they are turning 8 before the end of the year, they are welcome to join the CGS Sport Camps.
CGS Sports Camps’ sun smart policy follows guidelines set by Sun Smart Australia.
Students are encouraged to seek shade when possible, slip on sun-protective clothing, slap on a sun-protective hat and slop on sunscreen.

CGS Sports Camps will provide a full refund to participants who cancel within 14 days prior to camp commencing.
Yes, Paracetamol and Ibuprofen can be administered when needed, and if consent has been given.
Yes, all of our staff have WWVP checks.
