9:00am | Coach introduction. Schedule for the day. |
9:10am | Explicit skill instruction. A combination of closed and open drills used to teach Physical Literacy Elements. Participants rotate through stations working on various elements. An example of the elements a camp could include are: • Agility • Movement skills • Reaction time • Tactics • Stability and Balance • Coordination • Strategy and Planning • Cooperation |
11:00am | Morning Tea. Playgrounds and classrooms open for self-guided play. |
11:30am | Skill expansion. Taught Physical Literacy elements are applied in a game sense approach. Participants rotate through a range of games that incorporate movement skills used to move on, in or with a new range of equipment. |
1:00pm | Lunch: Playgrounds and classrooms open for self-guided play. Special Guest autograph signing. |
1:30pm | Players Choice to specialise in: • Basketball • Netball • Water Polo • Touch Football • Cricket Example of Specialist skills covered Defensive Skills Spatial awareness Skills Specialist session Attacking Skills Key Drills, open-ended games and specific coaching Structured Warm Down |
3:00pm | MVP and Sportsmanship Award ceremony. End of Day. Sign Out. |
